We are looking for you to join us on September 1st, 2024 for a 3.5-year apprenticeship as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering (m/f/d) at DB Fernverkehr AG in Cologne.

The vocational school is also located in Cologne.

DB is a large company and we are looking for electronics technicians in many different areas.

Depending on your interests and the availability of apprenticeship positions, you can complete your training as an electronics technician on our trains, on our rails and power lines, at our train stations, or in our workshops where the normal power grid is converted into the railway power grid.


What to expect in your apprenticeship:

  • Your training offers a lot of variety and you will be alternating between the company, the training workshop, and the vocational school on a weekly basis.
  • You will never be alone in your learning, as you will have fixed trainers and will also learn together with other apprentices, forming friendships for life.

On our trains:

  • You will work to ensure that our trains are always ready for use.
  • You will ensure that all electronic components in our trains, such as doors and information displays, function flawlessly and that our trains are always ready for use.
  • Knowledge of measurement, testing, and diagnostic procedures as well as their expert documentation.
