The Leibniz Institute for Virology (LIV) is an independent research institution for biomedical basic and therapeutic research and holds a leading position nationally and internationally as a foundation under civil law and member of the Leibniz Association. The LIV is located on the research campus in Hamburg-Eppendorf in close proximity to the university hospital as well as in the Centre for Structural Systems Biology (CSSB) on the research campus Hamburg-Bahrenfeld.

The research buildings of the LIV on the research campus in Hamburg-Eppendorf house approximately m2 of usable space (gross floor area approximately m2) for biomedical laboratories with the highest requirements (biological safety levels S2, S3** and S3 including S2 animal housing) as well as extensive and complex technical equipment. In addition, the institute provides office and lounge areas as well as spaces for seminars, events, and IT infrastructure.

As part of our strategic succession planning, we are looking for a full-time Head of Technical Operations (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.
