Description

As part of this project, you will work on a method for systematic evaluation of overall software in Halbur, IA. The goal is to objectively assess the capabilities of the software and quantify uncertainties for real vehicle use. This concept aims to achieve a complete and efficient software evaluation, which is essential for applying theoretical methods and algorithms.

About Us
At the Autonomous Vehicle Lab, we are shaping the future of vehicles with intelligent algorithms and methods. We are involved in numerous projects that investigate and further develop modern methods of artificial intelligence for autonomous vehicles. Our self-developed software for autonomous vehicles is used in larger projects such as the Indy Autonomous Challenge or EDGAR. We conduct research on current problem areas in perception, planning, and control.

Our goal is always to develop the optimal overall software and be able to use all algorithms in real vehicles.

By focusing on complex scenarios such as dynamic driving limits, unstructured environments, and ethical issues, we advance the state of the art.

We not only publish our research results at numerous conferences and in journals, but we also make our developed software available on Github as open source.

Responsibilities

As part of this project, you will work within a team at the Chair of Vehicle Technology on a method for systematic evaluation of overall software.

The goal is to objectively assess the capabilities of the software and quantify uncertainties for real vehicle use. This will involve building a multi-stage evaluation concept consisting of CI tests, software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop
