- Oversight of a Design Contractor Quality Control Program as assigned to verify adherence to quality standards as defined by the Contractor's Quality Control Program, Contract Documents, and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Guidelines/requirements.
- Review the Design Contractor's Quality Control Records (check prints) for conformance with the Contractor's Quality Control Plan checking procedures and provide direction and feedback to the designer
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of related work experience is required.
- Understanding of QA/QC processes associated with design and construction practices on Federal Transit Administration (FTA) projects.
- Familiar with the three-phase quality program approach.
- Familiarity with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) QA/QC industry standards, testing, practices, and regulations is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field is desired.
- Professional Engineer license preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to perform in a lead capacity.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be proficient in the use of Excel and MS Word.
- Experience with CADD and Bluebeam preferred.
- Ability to review quality submittals, including, but not limited to resume, plans, and inspection and test plans.
- Ability to work in a cooperative team environment.
