The Clinic for Cardiac and Vascular Surgery, Department of University Heart Center, is seeking a
Senior Physician as Head of the Heart Transplantation and Mechanical Heart Support Section (m/f/d)

Insight into your tasks:
- Performing all types of traditional heart surgeries
- Performing the entire spectrum of surgical therapy for heart failure (ventricular support systems up to complete heart replacement)
- Close interdisciplinary cooperation with the Department of Cardiology and Angiology
- Establishment of interdisciplinary Heart Failure Units at the Freiburg and Bad Krozingen locations
- Conducting and expanding exvivo perfusion of thoracic organs in the context of transplantation
Your profile:
- Completed specialist training in cardiac surgery
- Doctorate
- Ideally, habilitation or ongoing habilitation process
- Several years of expertise in traditional cardiac surgery and surgical therapy for heart failure with a focus on left and right ventricular support systems
- Experience in heart transplantation
- Experience in lung
