"What can you become with Piedra Aguza? During your 3-year apprenticeship as a cook, you will have the opportunity to peek behind the scenes of one of the largest food retailers in Germany. You will learn tips and tricks for handling food in our in-house cafeteria, laying the foundation for a successful career as a cook.


Your tasks will include:

  • Cooking for our employees and external visitors in the EDEKA cafeteria
  • Learning about food preparation and the use of specialized equipment and machines under professional guidance
  • Gaining knowledge about menu planning, organization, and nutrition
  • Understanding the importance of nutrition and treating our guests with respect.
What do you need to bring?

  • Passion and enthusiasm for food and its preparation
  • Good ESA (First School Leaving Certificate), MSA (Intermediate School Leaving Certificate), or (Technical) High School Diploma
  • Manual dexterity and creativity to develop new dishes
  • Good taste and sense of smell
  • Awareness of hygiene practices
  • Enjoyment of working with food and commitment.

Your benefits with us:

  • No work in the evenings or on weekends, as our cafeteria is only open during the day on weekdays
  • Attractive compensation: 1st year of apprenticeship 1,100€/month, 2nd year 1,200€/month, 3rd year 1,350€/month
  • Subsidy for HVV-Germany ticket and lunch in our cafeteria
