Hood is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

Starting on August 15, 2024, we are looking for you to join our 3.5-year apprenticeship program as a Mechatronics Technician (m/f/d) for DB Fernverkehr AG at our location in Dortmund. The vocational school and training workshop are also located in Dortmund.
What to expect in your apprenticeship:
  • You will work to ensure that our trains are always ready for use
  • Maintenance and repair of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls in our vehicles, such as information displays, doors, and monitoring systems
  • Programming, installation, and testing of modern hardware and software components
  • Identification and troubleshooting of malfunctions and errors
  • You will learn how to expertly fix any issues
Your profile:
  • You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) your education
  • You have a strong understanding of math and physics
  • You are skilled with your hands and enjoy tinkering in your free time
  • You have a passion for vehicles and technology
  • You are known for your careful and reliable work ethic
