JOB OVERVIEW
Responsibilities:
- Supervise consultants and oversee special projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with funders, partners, community members, and stakeholders.
- Provide technical assistance, training, and support for organizing and community engagement efforts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
Program Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Senior Program Officer for Green Homes to drive energy efficiency and clean energy transitions in affordable housing.
- Evaluate existing services and programs, identify gaps in the building decarbonization ecosystem, and propose solutions to advance policy and programs.
- Manage LISC Boston's Decarbonization Hub Initiative, Climate Ready Housing Program, STAR Solar Program, and Energy Cohort.
- Contribute to LISC Boston's broader efforts to invest in underinvested communities.
- Leverage knowledge and relationships in Massachusetts' affordable housing, energy efficiency, clean energy, philanthropic, and community development sectors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; or relevant work experience can be used as a proxy.
- Minimum 35 years relevant experience in affordable housing development/management, energy efficiency/clean energy technology/building science/building decarbonization, community development, and/or related disciplines.
- Related work experience and knowledge of green building and sustainable development strategies, standards, and policies.
- Experience in grant writing and policy analysis.
- Demonstrable commitment to community development, economic empowerment, income equality, racial equity, and/or social justice through past work and/or lived experience.
- Ability to balance creativity and innovation with outcomesbased program evaluation, data management, and reporting.
- Demonstrated success working with a variety of community, public, and private actors to design and implement effective, scalable, sustainable strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex matters and programs at various stages and coordinate with multiple internal and external parties to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
- Excellent communication, research, analysis, relationship, and team building skills.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid - LISC Boston operates on a hybrid schedule.
Greater in-person work may be required at the start of employment to support the strongest possible on-boarding process and professional development opportunities.
