Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team.

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting the medical staff.

Responsibilities:


  • Perform basic clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, collecting patient history, and preparing patients for examinations
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
  • Assist with medical procedures, such as wound care, injections, and minor surgeries
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimens appropriately
  • Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance forms
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing education on treatment plans
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and medical procedures

Skills:


  • Proficient in medical terminology and coding practices
  • Knowledge of physiology and anatomy
  • Ability to administer medications accurately and safely
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
  • Familiarity with basic life support techniques
  • Experience with electronic health record systems
  • Ability to perform basic laboratory tests (e.g., blood draws)

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • BLS Certification
  • Graduate of Medical Assistant program or one year previous medical backoffice experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment while maintaining accuracy

Job Type:

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
