As a Barclays Quality Assurance Team Lead-Data, you will play a critical role in the success of the Client Data Maintenance QA team through solid and effective management & leadership and the provision of skilled technical and analytical support, enabling the business to provide a leading service to other areas of the bank.

This is an opportunity to be responsible for joining and spearheading a fast moving team in its infancy to deliver objectives whilst providing a first class service to stakeholders and clients alike.

What will you be doing?

  • Spearheading, managing and motivating a high performing team with a focus on high standards, quality, customer service, controls, execution and delivery
  • Supporting Head of Data Maintenance in building a best in class 'Go To' team for expertise and embed the culture of 'Right First Time' across the department
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders across Technology and Operations in order to champion or challenge policy and procedural changes as needed
  • Being responsible for supporting Head of Data Maintenance to embed a solid control framework and embed a culture of risk
  • Provisioning and managing Quality MI metrics to be assessed with the team and presented to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Inspiring and driving high performance in individuals and the team, enabling each member to understand their role in team success
  • Championing colleague engagement in the teams and across the wider business ensuring the Barclays Purpose, Values and Behaviours are at the heart of everything we do

What we're looking for:


  • Good level understanding of Barclays Corporate systems
  • Proven ability to make decisions using own initiative and without guidance or support
  • Ability to contribute effectively when collaborating with colleagues at more senior levels across Data Maintenance and with colleagues, both verbally and written
  • Proven ability to analyze a significant amount of data and offer solutions and recommendations for improved operational control efficiency

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Proven experience in Client Data Maintenance and KYC
  • Experience of working and collaborating with key stakeholders e.g. Technology
  • Ability to contribute effectively when collaborating with senior colleagues, across the breadth of business/strategic issues
  • Proven ability to prioritize effectively, setting direction and targets, balancing resources and managing stakeholders expectations
