is looking for an Office Assistant.

The Ketlay Plaza office is located at 114 Sandhill Drive, Suite 203 in Middletown, Delaware.

ChristianaCare Cardiology provides specialized care in virtually all aspects of cardiology. In the practice, the usage of state-of-the-art equipment and the latest procedures available in cardiac medicine. ChristianaCare Cardiology provides sophisticated cardiovascular diagnostic imaging services and provide rehabilitation services to help speed along our patients' recovery. You will be joining a team of physicians, advanced practice clinicians, medical assistants, and office assistants.


The Office Assistant fields phone calls, answers patient questions, schedules new and follow-up appointments, registers patients and updates record and represents the entire practice every time there is interaction with a patient.


Work Schedule:


  • Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5pm (hours could vary, will not exceed 40 hours/week).

Job duties & responsibilities:


  • Schedules appointments.
  • Answers multi line telephones and retrieves accurate messages.
  • Manages front desktop.
  • Collects payments according to insurance requirements.
  • Applies ICD9 & CPT4 codes to encounter forms for billing purposes.
  • Performs outreach calls for the team.
  • Interacts between physicians, staff, and patients to provide accurate communication and customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask, and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and foster professional relationships in a team environment.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Education Requirements:


  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Medical receptionist or medical assistant degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a medical office setting or customer service environment is preferred but not required.
