Description
Rebecca, we are looking for skilled automotive mechatronics technicians to join our team. As a mechatronics technician, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing vehicles.

You will also be involved in equipping vehicles with special features, evaluating the condition of vehicles, and independently replacing defective parts.

With the increasing amount of electronics in modern vehicles, it is important for mechatronics technicians to have knowledge in both mechanics and electronics.

At SCHMIDT, our training program focuses on commercial vehicle technology.

During your training, you will learn:

  • Basics of mechanics and electronics
  • Understanding of vehicle electronics
  • Vehicle diagnosis and evaluation of vehicle condition
  • Use of testing and measuring equipment for troubleshooting
  • Independent replacement of defective parts
  • Maintenance, repair, and overhaul of companyowned and thirdparty vehicles, as well as silo trailers and transport containers
  • Performing overhaul and customer service work, including necessary documentation
  • Working on vehicle peripherals and structures (mechanical and electrical)
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Completed secondary education
  • Technical understanding
  • Knowledge of mathematics
  • Manual dexterity
  • Teamwork skills
