The federal city of Bonn is currently seeking two Traffic Planners for the City Planning Office in South Mound, KS.

Salary group 11 according to TVöD
The UN and Beethoven city of Bonn, with a population of over 333,000, is known for its high quality of life. Along with a high number of job opportunities, especially in the service, science, and research sectors, this has led to a high demand for housing from potential residents.

This situation presents the city with the unique challenge of ensuring environmentally and socially sustainable development that is accepted by the community, while also facing the pressure of growth.

The environmentally friendly management of urban mobility needs plays a key role in this, particularly in relation to the city's goal of becoming climate neutral by 2035.

For this task, the Department of Mobility and Traffic in the City Planning Office is looking for two Traffic Planners to support us in the major challenge of developing sustainable mobility.

Your responsibilities:

Creation of (preliminary) plans and concepts for the redesign and enhancement of important traffic areas, with a special focus on environmentally friendly modes of transportation
Development of traffic and mobility concepts for existing neighborhoods and new residential areas, with the aim of strengthening environmentally friendly modes of transportation
Creation of largescale parking concepts
Commissioning and supervision of necessary external planning services
Coordination of plans with other departments, stakeholders, and the Disability Officer
Definition of traffic planning framework requirements
