Your tasks in Gerton, NC:

  • You advise and support our customers in their MySQL / MariaDB database landscape
  • Your tasks include setting up, operating, and troubleshooting databases
  • You migrate and port databases from onpremise to the cloud
  • You support our customers in databaserelated provisioning and automation tasks
  • You share your knowledge through trainings, workshops, and presentations
  • There is potential for development in organizational and technical leadership tasks
  • Following our motto "Knowledge multiplies when shared", you pass on your expertise to others both to your colleagues and our students, as well as in projects with clients. You also share your knowledge on our ORDIX blog, as a speaker in our seminars, or at professional conferences according to your strengths.

Your profile:

  • University degree in computer science or a comparable completed education
  • At least 3 years of experience in administering opensource databases such as MySQL, MariaDB
  • Experience in administering commercial databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Db2, etc.) or other opensource databases (e.g. PostgreSQL / EDB) is desirable but not mandatory
  • Enthusiasm for current cloud technologies (relevant certifications are advantageous)
  • First practical experience with provisioning and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) is desirable
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, as well as communication skills
  • You are fluent in German, both spoken and written, and also have good English skills
