BioTropic GmbH is an import and export company specialized in the distribution of organically produced products from five continents.

In the trade of organic fruits and vegetables, we are one of the market leaders in Europe.

Our headquarters are located in Duisburg, and we also have representatives in France, Italy, the Netherlands, as well as subsidiary companies in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ivory Coast, and Spain.

Our products come from all directions and are sold to specialized wholesalers and supermarkets throughout Europe. We also offer an extensive range of private label products.

To support our continued growth, we are looking for:

Purchasing Manager (m/f/d) Central Private Label Purchasing & Development

Our tasks - Your perspective:

International procurement of raw and finished goods for the private label sector
Building and maintaining supplier relationships
Analysis of procurement markets and evaluation
Contract negotiations as part of annual discussions
Conducting purchasing controlling
Trend scouting in the area of product innovations
Participation in national and international projects
Supplier and trade fair visits

Our expectations - Your skills:

Completed commercial apprenticeship or a degree in business administration
Professional experience in purchasing, preferably in the food industry
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Excellent MS Office skills
Experience with ERP systems desirable
Very good German and English skills, additional foreign languages are an advantage
