The Carl-Thiem-Klinikum Cottbus is a non-profit GmbH under municipal sponsorship and an academic teaching hospital of the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

Starting in the winter semester of 2026, we will become the Innovation Center University Hospital Cottbus with a focus on health system research.


The Institute for Laboratory Medicine is currently seeking a full-time (possibly part-time) Medical Technical Laboratory Assistant (m/f/d) for the Genetics department with a focus on Cytogenetics/Molecular Cytogenetics.

Your responsibilities

  • You will be involved in cytogenetic, molecular cytogenetic, and molecular genetic diagnostics.
  • You will monitor and validate test results.
  • You will perform general laboratory tasks.
  • You will participate in weekend, holiday, evening, and night shifts.
Your profile

  • You have successfully completed training as a statecertified medical technical laboratory assistant.
  • You have good knowledge and professional experience in genetics/molecular cytogenetics/tumor cytogenetics.
