The Workers' Welfare Association (AWO) aims to promote the overall development of children and provide a family-supporting program in its daycare centers.

AWO daycare centers are open to all children from different social, religious, and national groups. They thus provide a differentiated, multi-layered, educational, and social learning environment. The main tasks include the child-friendly implementation of the basic values of the Workers'

Welfare Association:
solidarity, tolerance, freedom, equality, and justice.


For our team at the Family Center on the Campus in Garbsen, we are looking for a Pedagogical Specialist (m/f/d) according to NKiTaG - 9 para. 2, full-time (38.5 hours per week) permanent, starting on August 1, 2023.

Job description:


  • Implementation of the educational and care mandate based on the pedagogical concept
  • Individual and resourceoriented support and promotion of children aged 1 to 3 years
  • Needs and interestoriented design of daily daycare life
  • Work according to the situational approach; planning, implementation, and documentation of activities and projects, including quality management; implementation of participatory participation models for children
  • Observation, reflection, and documentation of development and educational processes; conducting development talks
