What we need:

The Tooling Inspector will focus upon tooling inspection. This role will facilitate tooling inspection inventory and aid in influencing forging downtime and forging part quality.


Job Requirements:


  • The Tooling Inspector shall perform tooling, visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or subassemblies. Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, industry standards, and specifications. The inspector will be required to report inspection accept / reject information directly to management.
  • Facilitates work activities of inspection
  • Takes strong ownership of work in progress and communicates with coworkers, Leadership, and Management
  • Maintain record of results in coordination with management.
  • Assist, as needed, manufacturing staff by providing administrative support performing tasks related to Project Milestones, Project Reviews, Corrective Actions, and assist other departments
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Company policies and procedures
  • Plan and implement technical meetings to drive improvement initiatives to support the Key Results
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record
  • Comply with all APP safety rules, company policies, and to include code of conduct
  • Assist in Customer, Internal, NADCAP, and AS 9100 audits as required
  • Demonstrates a firm commitment to achieving APP's Key Results
  • Must be able to operate in a drugfree workplace
  • Utilizes IFS reports to check job card information, and quantity accuracy.
  • Coordinates projects between management and workers.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.

Skill Requirements:


  • Strong team development and organizational skills, detailoriented, and exceptional follow through.
  • Must be able to listen and communicate effectively orally and in writing. This includes communication with management and employees.
  • Must have knowledge of chart and graph generation and interpretation
  • Knowledge of production process and work flow process
  • Must have the ability to assist others.
  • Ability to function in a collaborative environment.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard. Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings. The Tooling Inspector must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers, radius gauges and calipers.
  • Ability to listen to project needs and requirements and effectively translate them into technical as well as functional requirements.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, blueprint interpretation, and modelbased definition
  • In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person (U.S. Person = a natural person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Compensation:
$ $21.00 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
