Care to join us?The Milwaukee office of SmithGroup is looking for an Interior Designer to join our team.
Working with us, you will:
- Develop design concepts and lead refinement and implementation for projects in one or more of the markets of higher education, workplace, and cultural.
- Lead client presentations and visioning sessions to develop programs for clients.
- Manage projects, including negotiating project scope and fees, job production and quality, and lead construction administration efforts.
- Prepare, coordinate, and complete construction document packages.
- Consult with manufacturers, research and evaluate FFandE materials and products.
- Create graphics and research information for inclusion in client presentations, project pursuits, and marketing materials.
- Serve as a resource on interior design issues to others in the office, as well as oversee the design work of others to ensure integrated and cohesive design.
- Be responsible for meeting project deadlines and budget constraints.
- A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant industry and market experience.
- Architectural or Interior Design registration preferred.
- LEED AP preferred.
- Experience in Revit and AutoCAD with 3D modeling capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to perform work involving independent judgment and to act as project coordinator and leader.
- The ability to produce and coordinate a complete set of construction documents for permitting and bidding on projects.
