Responsibilities:

The Mercedes-Benz Group AG is one of the most successful automotive companies in the world. With Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest providers of premium and luxury cars and vans.


Our department Technical Cost Management for Equipment and Tools (FMC/EA) is responsible for the calculation of so-called reference values (REC) for production equipment and tools based on technical specifications.

In addition, we are responsible for active cost management with external suppliers in collaboration with purchasing and production planning or development.

Current REC projects include the conveyor technology of MMA (Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture) production facilities in all trades (assembly, body construction, and conveyor technology) in the global assembly plants.


In the Mercedes-Benz Group plant in Sindelfingen - in the Product Cost Engineering department - in the FMC/EA (Technical Cost Management Equipment) department, you will be responsible for the reference calculation (REC) and active cost management with external suppliers for complex production equipment surfaces.

This is done in close cooperation with the purchasing and factory planning departments.


As part of the "Paintshop" equipment surface tenders, your REC detailed calculations will be incorporated, providing a significant contribution to cost target achievement in the respective equipment projects through cost lever addressing external suppliers.
