Account Liaison

JOB SUMMARY
An individual responsible for the generation of referrals and coordination of marketing and education activities with nursing facilities; assisted living facilities; physicians and other community agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous sales/marketing experience, preferably in a hospice or other subset of healthcare. Excellent social and interpersonal skills and knowledge of hospice philosophy. Computer skills are also required.

- Bachelor's degree and related healthcare experience and knowledge preferred.
- Previous sales/marketing experience, preferably in hospice or other healthcare program.
- Understanding of hospice philosophy and geographical area served.
- Demonstrated history of positive sales results, and customer relationships that led to outstanding results. Results driven.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to market effectively with customers, referral sources, and the community.
- Valid driver's license with maintenance of good driving record and an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Vitality's requirements and is in good working order
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting.
- Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations; selfmotivated.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall Responsibilities
- Work within the scope of the position, in coordination with management, to meet the needs of our patients, families and professional colleagues.
- Meet or exceed growth and development targets and actively establish and maintain market acceptance and allegiance throughout the local service area.
- Establish and maintain professional and productive relationships with all referral sources, including physicians, nursing home, assisted living home health, hospital personnel, discharge planners and/or case managers and other appropriate referral sources.
- Maintain standards of superior customer service, and show respect to all constituents, both internal and external.
- Implement marketing and educational initiatives as directed by the VP of Strategy or Designee.
- Implement and maintain good 'sales habits', including efficient time & territory management, appropriate call volume as defined by the employee and VP of Strategy or designee.
- Provide educational in-services internally/externally and become a resource for customers and the community regarding hospice.
- Participate in staff meetings, staff development activities and attend off site activities as assigned.
- Projects hospice philosophy in all aspects of the role.
- Participates in Performance Improvement projects as assigned.
- Completes all other projects as assigned by the VP of Strategy or Designee.
