    AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Operations (SMGS) is on the lookout for a Senior Resource Planning Lead within the Sales Strategy and Operations team to support the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO). This role is crucial within the organization's Sales Strategy and Operations team, responsible for aiding Leadership, Sales, and Operational teams in attaining organizational goals and enhancing field productivity.

    The selected candidate will be part of the WWSO Specialist Business Planning team, contributing to Global, Go To Market (GTM), and Area Specialist resource planning and headcount management initiatives.

    This position involves developing and updating resource planning strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as HR, Recruiting, Operations, and Finance. The role includes analyzing headcount data to provide business recommendations and drive various SMGS initiatives, including tool and product launches, in a rapidly growing and complex environment.

    Working closely with AWS business leaders, the role entails formulating key business questions and providing insights to address those questions effectively.

    The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, sound business judgement, and a focus on core planning inputs to support critical partnerships, prioritize initiatives, identify process gaps, and enhance performance.


    Key business stakeholders include:
    Sales Leadership, HR, Recruiting, Cross-SMGS Resource Planning Teams, Finance, Data Engineers, and Business Analysts.

    Key job responsibilities:
    • Lead crossSMGS initiatives like launching new tools and mechanisms
    • Develop and refine strategies to optimize resources across the organization
    • Drive cross-functional teams to define Headcount Management best practices
    • Execute implementation, change management, and enablement plans for resource planning
    • Provide scalable solutions to complex problems and conduct data analysis on headcount trends

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    • 5+ years of experience in workforce or resource planning
    • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
    • Experience using Tableau or AWS QuickSight
    • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
    • Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
    • Experience in supporting sales organizations
    • Expertise in data-driven solutions and communication at all levels of stakeholders
    • Experience in gaining alignment from partner resource planning teams
    • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder interactions
    • Skills in managing problems involving multiple systems or processes
