Position Summary


Independent Living Systems is committed to enhancing quality of life through innovative health and support solutions that reduce costs and foster independence.

The Clerk, Data Entry is responsible for updating information in ILS and client data management platforms. The Clerk, Data Entry will complete other data management including compiling reports, basic analysis and research.

They are expected to maintain accuracy and timeliness in processing documents into the data management platforms, reviewing and proofing work to ensure 100% accuracy.


Essential Functions

  • Must be able to acquire and retain knowledge of industry rules and best practices regarding basic medical claims operations.
  • Responsible for entering data from eCare and Excel spreadsheets into inhouse databases, vendor portals and management systems, vendor web tools, etc.
  • Determine information needs, extract required information from multiple source documents, translate and enters data into inhouse and client database platforms.
  • Complete basic analysis, interpretation of data, as requested.
  • Learn and fully utilize ILS proprietary systems (eCare).
  • Manage and protect confidential information and ensure adherence to ILS privacy standards.
  • Provide general administrative support, as requested.
  • Provide backup to engagement center associates.
  • Complete community resource research, as requested.
  • Complete additional special projects, as assigned.
  • General administrative experience in a professional office environment.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma (or its equivalency)
  • One (1) year clerical/data entry experience within healthcare industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel & Internet Explorer, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams Applications
  • Excellent typing/data entry skills
