- Establish major material and service agreements for complex, high-risk categories, supporting special projects and sourcing initiatives.
- Provide oversight for periodic 'special project' endeavors.
- Take accountability for category procurements, proactively resolving supplier performance issues and emergent challenges.
- Forge strong relationships with suppliers at both executive and working levels, as well as with end customers.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to contract terms and exceed customer expectations.
- Drive supplier alliance processes and oversee all supplier relationships.
- Lead supplier relationship development programs and periodic alliance meetings.
- Manage categories, ensuring governance of associated procurements.
- Provide guidance to contract administrators, procurement specialists, and supply personnel across various spend categories.
- Identify and implement best practices in sourcing and category management.
- Lead personnel to achieve objectives within related categories and sourcing initiatives.
- Prioritize tasks to support strategic sourcing initiatives and other Supply projects.
- Identify and mitigate category risks, aligning profiles with business needs and objectives.
- Support emergency response activities as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, or business (engineering preferred). MBA in Engineering is advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the nuclear industry, with additional experience in other power generation construction being beneficial.
- Preferred certifications: CPSM, CPCM, PMP.
- Demonstrated expertise in supply chain management, contract management, project management, and change management.
- Proficiency in strategic supplier relationship building.
- Comprehensive understanding of category and supply management concepts.
- Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
- Experience in cross-functional team management and facilitation.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel as necessary.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- Proven data analysis and negotiation skills, with the ability to hold suppliers accountable for performance.
