    Description

    The Junior Application Support Representative - Level 1 is a vital member of our IT Division, focused on providing exceptional support to our Users for application issues. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members. Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Jira Service Manager, and SQL is crucial. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment, excels at multitasking, and is committed to improving our internal knowledge base for tracking and resolving recurring issues.

    Responsibilities:

    • Rapid Problem Resolution: Quickly identify and resolve application issues, collaborating closely with users and the development team to understand and address root causes.
    • Effective Communication: Exhibit excellent communication skills, providing clear and concise updates to both IT team members and business users, ensuring issues are understood and resolved efficiently.
    • Internal IT Support: Actively contribute to and utilize the internal IT knowledge base to document recurring issues and their resolutions, facilitating quicker problem-solving and knowledge sharing within the team.
    • High-Paced Environment Adaptability: Adapt to a high-paced, demanding work environment, efficiently managing multiple tasks and priorities without compromising on quality or timelines.
    • Daily Operations Support: Ensure smooth daily operations by promptly addressing and tracking production requests and providing immediate support to prevent operational disruptions.
    • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a small team, supporting and learning from peers to improve overall team performance and problem resolution efficiency.
    • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek and implement improvements in support processes and the knowledge base to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
    • Strong foundation in JIRA, Confluence, Jira Service Manager, and SQL.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both IT and non-IT personnel.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, with a high capacity for managing multiple priorities.
    • A proactive, solution-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Working knowledge of Life Insurance/Annuities is preferred.
    • Experience working within a Level-One support team recommended.
    • Hybrid work environment - up to two days remote weekly.
