Research Associate / Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d):
(salary according to E 13 TV-L) for four years, with the possibility of extension subject to available funding

(employment duration according to § 2 para. 2 WissZeitVG), to be filled as soon as possible.


The Chair of Developmental Psychology and Lifespan Neuroscience investigates the neurocognitive mechanisms underlying behavioral, perceptual, and cognitive development during childhood and aging.

The focus of our research is on neurofunctional mechanisms of lifelong development of episodic or spatial memory, cognitive control, reward processing and decision-making, perception, and action.

In addition to basic research, we also conduct applied research, using behavioral interventions, non-invasive brain stimulation, or digital technologies to improve functional plasticity in people of different ages.

In our research, we use a wide range of neurocognitive (e.g. EEG, fNIRS, fMRI, tDCS) and computer-based methods.

Our laboratory has several testing rooms and is equipped with EEG (64-channel and 32-channel) and fNIRS systems, as well as eye-tracking and virtual reality devices.

An MRI scanner (3T), a TMS device, and a peripheral physiology system can be used through the Neuro
