The Regional Computing Center (RRZ) is the service and competence center for providing IT services and research-oriented (high-performance) IT infrastructures to all user groups at the University of Hamburg, as part of the cooperative IT supply concept.

The RRZ operates powerful information, communication, and media technology infrastructures, as well as the corresponding application systems and user services.

The positions are located within the Userservice department in the RRZ-ServiceDesk team.

The ServiceDesk is the first point of contact for personal inquiries and problem reports to the RRZ and serves as a Single-Point-of-Contact (SPOC).


Responsibilities:

  • Providing advice on the services offered by the RRZ to visitors and the general public at the RRZ-ServiceDesk and onsite at the workstations of University of Hamburg employees
  • Setting up WLAN on private/business devices
  • Recharging printing quotas and copy cards
  • Resetting passwords
  • Assisting with printing (e.g. poster printing)
  • Assisting with the use of shortterm workstations (PC pools)
  • Issuing keys/devices/materials
  • Handling advanced inquiries (requests)
