Description

The Role:

This role will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for our multi-state population of around 4,500 employees with continued plans to grow like weeds pun intended

Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration

Own and manage workflow to ensure biweekly payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner (+/ 1,000 employees)
Process and audit employee updates in Wurk (HRIS/payroll portal) as it relates to compensation, job changes, transfers, garnishments/levies and terminations
Resolve payroll discrepancies, process adjustments, manual checks
Provide excellent customer service to employee and manager inquiries
Respond to tax notices and all other mailings
Complete verification of employment and unemployment requests
Respond to internal/external audits and reporting requests
Willingness to accept and complete other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree desired
Must have 3+ years of payroll experience
Must have experience processing nonexempt, hourly employees
Proven experience and success in a fastpaced, highgrowth organization
Advanced computer skills, including Excel
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact and communicate with all levels within the organization
Demonstrated understanding of multistate wage and labor laws
Experience using the following products, a plus: Kronos, Wurk, Greenhouse

Additional Requirements:

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential material
Detailoriented and can pivot from a task when needed
Must pass any and all required background checks
Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
