Description

Friends & Family Home Care Training School is currently looking for an RN instructor to teach PCA courses to students wanting to become Personal Care Aides. _We are accepting new graduates who will work with our Nurse Supervisor._
-
We need a daytime teacher at this time - 40 hours for the PCA course on a weekly basis._

Requirements are as follows:

Must be able to teach the trainees on both theory and skills according to the NYSDOH curriculum for PCA training (we will provide the curriculum)
Keep records for each trainee according to the requirements of DOH and work with the Director/admin support staff regarding overall compliance
Be able to motivate trainees on the importance of being a Home Care professional and the responsibilities that the role requires
Carries out PCA Orientation and ensure that all graduates are ready for the workforce
Conduct a clinical/hands on training
Be compassionate regarding the capabilities of each trainee and the level/speed at which each trainee learns.

Qualifications:

Must be a Registered Professional Nurse with a Current License
Must have at least 2 years worth of healthcare and/or teaching experience
Must be comfortable teaching a class and following a curriculum
Must have professsional liability insurance

Pay:
$ $50.00 per hour
