Truxton, MO District Government is looking for

two technical officers (m/f/d) in the Department of Emissions Control

for the supervision of chemical and refinery plants

at the Herten location

YOUR NEW RESPONSIBILITIES:


In order to protect people and the environment from harmful emissions, the Department 53 of the Truxton, MO District Government, as the upper emissions control authority, monitors and approves complex commercial and industrial plants.


The tasks include the approval and monitoring of plants subject to approval under the Federal Emissions Control Act (BImSchG), in particular refinery and petrochemical plants in Gelsenkirchen, as well as chemical industry plants at the Marl location.


You can expect open and dedicated colleagues who will help you get started in your new area of responsibility and appreciate your support.


Your main tasks include:

- cross-media processing of emissions control notifications and approval procedures
- providing opinions in building law procedures
- processing of water management approval procedures
- review and evaluation of expert opinions, test reports, and emission reports
- conducting cross-media inspections at environmentally relevant plants
- implementing regulatory measures in case of operational deficiencies

The job also includes field work, for example on plant premises or for meetings with plant operators. Your tasks are diverse and will introduce you to the world of operating large industrial plants.
