Valuation Actuary - two positions (M/F/d)


The Life and Health 1 Valuation team at Munich Re is seeking two talented actuaries to join our team in Sunburst, MT.

As a leading reinsurance company, we provide valuation and earnings analyses for our Life & Health reinsurance business in continental Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.

In this role, you will develop models and assumption sets to support Munich Re Group reporting and business management.

You will also have the opportunity to work with various stakeholders and decision-makers to explain your analyses and contribute to shaping the company's IFRS17 view.


YOUR JOB:


  • Onboarding new business to the valuation system, including system setup, model selection, and data preparation
  • Ensuring highquality standards in data processing and report generation
  • Designing and implementing efficient automated data processes for reporting
  • Developing analytics on reserve movements and profitandloss impacts and presenting them to stakeholders
  • Supporting stakeholders in managing the transition to IFRS17

YOUR PROFILE:


  • Full or nearly completed actuarial qualifications and several years of experience in relevant topics such as Solvency II, IFRS4/17, assumption setting, and cashflow modelling
  • Innovative mindset and experience driving change
  • Project management
