THE POSITION:


If you have an interest in helping children, youth and families, then we may have the position for you Lebanon County Children & Youth Services is actively seeking a Casework Manager 1 to round out our staff.

You will supervise and oversee a variety of child abuse and neglect services including investigations, in-home services and placement services.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


This position functions as a key member of the Agency managerial team with Lebanon County Children and Youth Services and is under the direct supervision of the Assistant Administrator.

In this role, you will provide administration, supervisory, planning, and managerial support and assistance within the department.

This position's primary responsibility is to supervise the County Casework Supervisors and assist with administrative work in the field of child welfare.

The County Casework Manager 1 will assist with the planning, development and modification of programs, policies, and practices.

This position is responsible for managing and overseeing either the three ongoing units of the Agency or the three intake units of the Agency.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday
  • Friday, with 30minute lunch.
  • Oncall rotations and overtime as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Three years of experience in public or private social work which included one year in a public welfare program and one year in a supervisory capacity; and a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences;
    or:
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Other Requirements:


  • This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:


  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
  • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
