Chair of Computer Science in Civil Engineering


We are currently looking for a part-time (12 hours/week) research assistant (m/f/d) with a Bachelor's degree in Web Engineering Digital Twins to join our team at the Chair of Computer Science in Civil Engineering at the earliest possible date.


The Chair of Computer Science in Civil Engineering has extensive research experience, particularly in the areas of Building Information Modeling, data management, and visualization.

In addition, we have strong competencies in data (bank) modeling and software development.


As a research assistant (m/f/d), you will work with the academic staff on a current research project for the sustainability assessment of infrastructure buildings using Digital Twins.

Specifically, we need support in developing a web-based dashboard for displaying calculation results, as well as integrating evaluation algorithms and data from a distributed system using a service-oriented architecture approach.

Your tasks:


  • Together with a team of student and academic staff, you will support us in developing a prototype for the research project.
  • You will develop a dashboard for visualizing geometries of bridge structures and evaluations of the sustainability of different options for maintenance, modernization, or replacement.
