We are looking for a dedicated educator for our therapeutic children's residential group in Plattsburg, MO.

In our facility, we care for seven children between the ages of 5 and 13 who have experienced boundary violations, neglect, or relationship disruptions.

As an educator in our team, you will support the children in processing their wounds, discovering their strengths and individual qualities, and gradually addressing their age-appropriate developmental tasks in a safe environment.

The facility is located in a large house with a garden plot at a protected address in Treptow-Köpenick.

We are currently seeking an educator to join our team as soon as possible for a permanent position of 30 hours per week.

Your responsibilities:

Caring for and accompanying the children and adolescents in the shift system
Structuring the daily routine for the children and promoting their individual development and social skills
Organizing activities and group offers for children and youth
Deescalation and crisis intervention
Participation in the care planning process and process analysis
Collaboration with parents, youth welfare offices, schools, and other cooperation partners

We expect from you:

Completed training as an educator
Experience working with children and adolescents in difficult psychological situations is desirable.
We offer thorough training and support for beginners
Basic understanding of trauma and its consequences, or willingness to further educate yourself in this area
Enthusiasm and patience to continuously search for the next solution step
