    GENERAL PURPOSE:
    Responsible for overseeing all Store operations, ensuring adherence to Company standards and best practices. Leads the Store operations to achieve desired sales and profit outcomes, while creating a welcoming and convenient shopping environment. This role involves staffing, training, and developing a leadership team, managing Stockroom, Front End, and Sales Floor operations, ensuring timely merchandise placement, proper goods receipt, and cost control through efficient practices.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    General Operating Requirements:
    • Leads implementation of Company Best Practices to enhance productivity and streamline processes.
    • Reviews Store reports to assess controllable expenses and overall performance.
    • Addresses deviations from Company standards with corrective actions, collaborating with the District Manager as necessary.
    • Ensures optimal scheduling of team members to meet business goals.
    • Handles special assignments as delegated by leadership.
    • Responsible for payroll management, including editing daily punches, ensuring scheduling compliance, and accurate payroll reporting.

    Organizational Development:
    • Recruits, trains, and develops Assistant Managers, Area Supervisors, and non-exempt team members.
    • Focuses on reducing turnover through effective selection, training, and motivation strategies, utilizing retention tools such as incentive programs and training initiatives.
    • Addresses personnel and performance issues through coaching, warnings, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
    • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Manages Associate Relations matters in consultation with the District Manager.
    • Ensures adherence to all State, Local, and Federal regulations.
    Expense Control:
    • Oversees expenditures to stay within budget limits.
    • Manages payroll hours to align with business trends and objectives.
    Maintaining a Safe & Secure Environment:
    • Upholds Company safety policies to protect team members and customers.
    • Ensures team members are trained in emergency procedures and can execute them effectively.
    Customer Service:
    • Demonstrates respect and professionalism towards Customers, Associates, and leaders.
    • Emphasizes courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism, recognizing team members through Company programs.
    • Implements Customer service and Merchandise Presentation programs through training and supervision.
    • Guides Retail Associates in delivering efficient and friendly service across various store areas.
    Personal and Store Brand:
    • Sets the example for a professional appearance in line with the Company Dress Code.
    • Represents and upholds the Company brand consistently.
    • Maintains a clean, organized, and shopper-friendly Store environment.
    • Ensures high standards of housekeeping with the support of maintenance personnel and Ross Associates.

    Merchandise Processing and In-Store Marketing
    • Ensures proper execution of recovery, sizing, and markdown procedures according to Company standards.
    • Organizes merchandise based on Company guidelines.
    • Supervises prompt merchandise placement on the sales floor as per Company expectations.
    Loss Prevention:
    • Trains team members on Loss Prevention programs to meet Store shortage targets.
    • Demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions, safeguarding confidential information and merchandise.
    • Understands and follows the Loss Prevention Awareness Program, enhancing awareness among Customers and Associates.
    • Leads the annual inventory process and monitors mark-out-of-stock policy adherence.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
    • Minimum of five years of Store management experience in a retail setting.
    • Strong focus on providing excellent Customer service.
    • Demonstrated leadership, management, and communication skills with all levels of team members.
    • Ability to train, coach, and develop team members effectively.
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
    • Proficiency in English.
    • Must possess sound judgement and discretion.
    • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
    • Capable of operating all Store equipment.
    • Able to stand, walk, and move around the Store for extended periods.
    • Flexibility to perform various physical tasks such as bending, squatting, climbing, carrying, and reaching.
    • Occasionally required to push, pull, and lift items weighing over 25 lbs.
    • Comfortable using janitorial equipment, ladders, and other assigned tools.
    • Ability to perform basic retail-related mathematical calculations.
    • Some assignments may demand additional qualifications and skills.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Direct oversight of Assistant Store Manager, Area Supervisors, and all Retail Associates.
