The Department of Civil Engineering is responsible for roads, paths, and squares, as well as engineering structures and canals.

The Construction Operations department of the Civil Engineering Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the city's infrastructure.

This includes the removal of accident damage to guardrails, railings, and traffic signs, as well as the implementation and monitoring of traffic regulations, for example at construction sites or numerous events such as the Citizens' Festival or Christmas Market.

The Construction Operations department is also responsible for winter maintenance on Esslingen's traffic routes and maintains an on-call service for special incidents.

The Civil Engineering Department of the city of Esslingen am Neckar is currently seeking a
Construction Tradesperson (m/f/d) for the Road Maintenance/Traffic Equipment department, starting immediately and on an indefinite basis.
