Responsibilities:

Providing technical leadership to all individuals involved in Value Cost Engineering topics and projects
Responsible for tracking and achieving costsaving measures
Conducting analysis and cost calculations, as well as benchmarks to transparently display component costs
Analyzing and evaluating relevant cost drivers and identifying cost reduction potential in components
Implementing product cost optimization potential (Design to Cost & Cost Down)
Planning and monitoring feasibility studies
Monitoring the progress of planned measures until implementation

Qualifications:

Completed training as a machining mechanic, alternatively in a technical or metal profession with further training as a master craftsman (m/f/d) or technician (m/f/d)
Ideally, a degree in mechanical engineering, production technology, or industrial engineering
Many years of experience in the production sector
Very good knowledge of methods in the area of cost optimization in the value chain
Many years of experience with production time and cost calculations, as well as a very good understanding of economic and technical relationships
Confident demeanor and excellent communication skills
Willingness to travel
