CT Technologist Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
  • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
  • Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure tohelp them feel comfortable.
  • Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
  • Positions patients accordingly which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility must utilize safe patient handling.
  • Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
  • Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Requirements:


  • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT.
  • NYS licensure mustobtain PRIOR to starting position
  • Two 2 Years' Experience
  • Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
  • BLS American Heart Association ONLY

Preferred:

  • Injectioncertification preferredmust be willing to complete during orientation process.
  • Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • A patient andcompassionate disposition.
  • Team player who
can maintain a cohesive working environment.


Pay:
$ $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
