Head of Software Asset Management (m|w|d)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishment and management of a highly qualified team of experts for software vendor management and negotiation of software contracts with partners
  • Optimization of license usage within the company and minimization of overall license costs
  • Negotiation of the best deals with relevant software providers
  • Consulting the company's product departments on license management to identify the most efficient licensing mechanisms
  • Management of external consultants, particularly in the area of Microsoft SPLA license optimization
  • Close collaboration with the legal department and relevant departments such as accounting, security, technology, and product management

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Several years of experience in software licensing or software asset management
  • Negotiation experience with license contracts, preferably with Microsoft and VMware
  • Ideal industry knowledge in the hosting sector and a strong focus on technology
  • Experience in leading teams and building expert teams
  • Ability to understand complex, often English-language contracts and assess risks and opportunities at a management level
