We are looking for you as an engineer for energy system development with a focus on power grid simulation (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date.

YOUR TASKS:

  • You perform load flow and redispatch calculations as well as network topology optimizations of the German and European power grid to evaluate supply security, for example within the system analyses of transmission system operators, and evaluate them
  • You further develop the tools and optimization models used at Amprion for power grid analysis in an expert team
  • You develop efficient and innovative solutions for answering timecritical technical and energy policy questions
  • You represent the company in relevant national working groups of transmission system operators

WHAT WE EXPECT:

  • You have a degree in electrical engineering or industrial engineering, preferably with a focus on energy supply or electrical energy technology
  • You have experience in developing, applying and parameterizing models for load flow and redispatch calculations, as well as formulating optimization problems in the energy industry context
  • You have excellent programming skills in Matlab and Python (
