Paralegal Requirements and Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Federal and state court civil procedure.
  • Mediation preparation for personal injury claims and medical records a strong plus.
  • Must be able to handle deadlines and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multitask and work overtime if needed.
  • Must be a team player where no task is too small or unimportant when working on projects.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with a knowledge of document/case management and timekeeping software, Adobe Acrobat Pro, ShareSync and PACER is a strong plus.
  • Must have experience 1) propounding and responding to discovery; 2) summarizing medical records; and 3) requesting medical records.
Salary is negotiable. The firm also offers a benefit package including life, health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan with employer contribution.
