We are currently seeking a full-time or part-time Research Assistant (m/f/d) in Materials / Laser / Additive Manufacturing at the East Bavarian Technical University of Applied Sciences (OTH) Amberg-Weiden, located in Amberg, to work on research projects within the OTH Cluster LEOS under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Koch.

Responsibilities:

The research cluster focuses on topics in the areas of laser material processing, surface technology, materials, and additive manufacturing. The research assistant will support the professors in their research by:

  • Providing technical and organizational support for research projects (e.g. grant applications, research work, documentation, and publication of results)
  • Actively participating in research projects
  • Establishing and maintaining contacts with companies, research institutions, and universities

Requirements:

  • A completed university degree (diploma or master's) in engineering
  • Knowledge in the field of modern manufacturing processes, especially laser material processing and materials engineering, would be advantageous
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, as well as time management
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
