As a state-certified graphic designer, you will create media products with creativity and expertise. For your clients, you will not only work in image editing, but also design complete communication materials.

During the three-year training as a graphic designer, you will learn the specialized knowledge and practical skills in design, advertising, and economics that you will need in your professional life.

You can also study or obtain your technical college entrance qualification in parallel if you wish.

The theoretical courses cover topics such as photo design, freehand drawing, graphic design, art history, media technology, calligraphy, typography, advertising, and copywriting.

The general education includes subjects such as German, English, mathematics, religious studies/ethics, and economics and social studies.

In the practical courses, you will develop design ideas, create advertising concepts, make sketches and print templates, optimize designs for printing, design websites, work with photography and image editing, create animations, and design 3D graphics and trade fair displays.

Potential future job opportunities include working in advertising and design agencies, book and newspaper publishers, companies in the design and media industry, advertising and design departments of companies, and printing companies.

The training starts annually in September.
