We are looking for a
Material Tester, with qualifications in VT2 and PT2 (m/f/d) for our client, a German conglomerate with a focus on automation and digitalization in the industry, building infrastructure, decentralized energy systems, mobility solutions for rail and road traffic, and medical technology.


Your responsibilities:


  • Conducting metallographic material investigations to prevent longterm damage to critical power plant components and creating microstructure imprints (replicas)
  • Performing nondestructive testing (PT, MT, UT, ET, VT) on turbines and generator components in power plants worldwide as part of international project teams and documenting the results
  • Evaluating materials using mobile methods such as chemical composition analysis, sampling, and mobile hardness testing

Your qualifications:


  • Completed vocational training as a material tester/technician, metallographer, physics laboratory assistant, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in material investigations with a focus on component metallography, including experience in metallographic preparation techniques and light optical examination methods
  • Experience with nondestructive testing methods (ideal: certification according to ISO 9712) is an advantage, but not mandatory; willingness to undergo further training
  • High flexibility in case of shortterm changes in plans
  • Sense of responsibility, diligence, and independent work ethic, adaptability to different cultures, teamoriented personality
  • Willingness to take on project responsibilities (possibly involving international travel)
  • Fluent
