Research Associate (m/f/d)
(salary group 13 TV-L)


is to be filled at 50% of the regular weekly working hours (currently 19.9 hrs/week) from
October 1st, 2023 for an initial period of three years.

The opportunity for academic qualification (PhD) is given. The pursuit of a PhD project is expected.


The department "History of Philosophy" focuses on the impact of philosophical works, schools, debates, and fundamental concepts in research and teaching.

In line with the idea that shaping the future always goes hand in hand with a critical interpretation of the past, it is a central concern of the department to reflect on problems of our own approaches to the history of philosophy and its canon formation.

Areas of work include German Idealism, taking into account its prerequisites and consequences, as well as its problematizing processing in Critical or decolonial theory.

The department is embedded in the diverse interdisciplinary research focuses and working contexts at the Institute for Philosophy.


Tasks:


  • Participation in the development, implementation, and publication of research projects in the history of philosophy related to the department's thematic focuses
  • Participation in teaching (organization and implementation of courses). The teaching obligation is currently 2 LVS.
