The one- or two-year training at the technical college leads to the acquisition of the university entrance qualification. This ensures nationwide access to all degree programs at universities of applied sciences and vocational academies.

If you choose the field of Health and Social Sciences, you should have empathy, communication skills, and an interest in working with people.

Admission requirements for the two-year technical college:
Secondary school leaving certificate or an equivalent intermediate school leaving certificate
A minimum grade of 3 is desired in the subjects of German, English, and Mathematics
Admission requirements for the one-year technical college:
Secondary school leaving certificate or an equivalent intermediate school leaving certificate and
a relevant vocational qualification or
a minimum of three years of relevant work experience
Course structure and internship
In the 11th grade, it is the student's responsibility to find an internship position in the social sector (e.g. daycares, schools, children and youth homes, hospitals, therapeutic facilities, nursing homes, etc.).
The internship has a total duration of 100 days and is completed three days a week. On the other two weekdays, classes are held according to the school regulations for technical colleges in Saxony.
In the 12th grade, classes are held full-time.
