The JVA Bochum is currently seeking to fill a position as an employee (m/f/d) in the administrative service 1.2 of pay group 6 of the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states TV-L, initially limited until June 30, 2024.

The advertised full-time position is located at the main office. The collective weekly working hours are 39 hours and 50 minutes.

**Description of the Authority
The JVA Bochum is a closed prison for adult men with a designated capacity of 791 prison places.


The institution is responsible for:

  • Pretrial detention, extradition and transit detention for adults
  • Prison sentences (initial imprisonment) from 3 to 30 months
  • Prison sentences (regular imprisonment) from 3 months to 30 months
  • Prison sentences of more than 30 months according to the result of the admission procedure
  • Prison sentences of more than 24 months for foreigners
- and has a social therapy department and a department for prisoners with ordered or reserved preventive detention.


Challenge:


As an employee (m/f/d) in the administrative service 1.2 in the prison system, you will be responsible for administrative tasks at the main office.

In this department, the main tasks include administrative duties related to the hiring, training, evaluation, promotion, reclassification, transfer, and termination of employment of employees and civil servants, with special consideration of the state equal opportunities law and other state
