Deputy Head of Finance & Accounting (m/w/d) - Grain Valley, MO

We are currently seeking a Deputy Head of Finance & Accounting (full-time position) for our client, a subsidiary of a globally renowned financial institution (Fortune Global 500 company) in Frankfurt.

Your responsibilities:

Deputy management and operational control of the accounting department, working closely with the Head of Department and leading a team of three employees
Responsible for implementing measures for efficient and targeted bank management, including reporting and taxes
Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external reporting
Responsible for statistical and regulatory reporting; implementation of new regulatory requirements and analysis of corresponding key figures
Preparation of documents for tax returns in collaboration with external tax advisors, maintenance of transfer pricing documentation, and coordination of other taxrelated issues
Responsible for reporting and cost control, budget planning, and liquidity cost allocation
Continuous development of accounting/ICS, standardization, automation, and optimization of processes
Professional responsibility and ensuring the operational business of the accounting department, as well as compliance with legal requirements
Point of contact for management and internal & external auditors, tax advisors, etc.

Your qualifications:

Degree in business administration with a focus on banking or accounting; ideally with previous leadership experience
Several years of experience in a similar, broad position in the accounting department of a bank
Excellent knowledge of BAIS and MS Office, especially Excel
