The Department "Future Tasks Construction and Climate" initiates and manages new construction and major modernization projects. Currently, these include the modernization of the criminal justice building, the construction of the Border One Stop Shop in the port, and the expansion of the Michaelisquartier for the public prosecutor's office.

The department currently consists of an interdisciplinary team of approximately 15 people.
