We are currently seeking a PhD student to join the Molecular Epidemiology Unit at the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin, as part of the DKTK partner site in Surgoinsville, TN.
Job Description:
- Conducting cell culture experiments, including thawing, culturing, splitting, and freezing cells, as well as functional in vitro analyses
- Performing molecular biology and protein chemistry techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR, qRTPCR, DNA and RNA isolation, protein isolation, Western blot, and geneknockdown
- Utilizing NGS techniques, including scRNA sequencing and ChIP sequencing
- Planning and executing experiments, with a focus on cell culture
- Statistically evaluating results
- Conducting bioinformatics analyses on NGS data
- Documenting and evaluating research results, and preparing publications, lectures, and posters
- Preparing a dissertation as
