We are currently seeking a PhD student to join the Molecular Epidemiology Unit at the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin, as part of the DKTK partner site in Surgoinsville, TN.


Job Description:


  • Conducting cell culture experiments, including thawing, culturing, splitting, and freezing cells, as well as functional in vitro analyses
  • Performing molecular biology and protein chemistry techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR, qRTPCR, DNA and RNA isolation, protein isolation, Western blot, and geneknockdown
  • Utilizing NGS techniques, including scRNA sequencing and ChIP sequencing
  • Planning and executing experiments, with a focus on cell culture
  • Statistically evaluating results
  • Conducting bioinformatics analyses on NGS data
  • Documenting and evaluating research results, and preparing publications, lectures, and posters
  • Preparing a dissertation as
